In October, 2008, we were notified that Dan’s photo was selected as a Highly Commended winner in the largest and most prestigious wildlife photography contest in the world.  Over 32,000 photographs were submitted by over 3,000 photographers from over 82 countries.


A touring exhibit will be travelling throughout Britain, as well as Australia, Brazil, Canada, the Netherlands. Poland, South Africa, Spain and the USA.


The exhibit has also been published as a book and is available from the museum:

Wildlife Photographer of the Year - Portfolio 18 (2008)


Sand Sprinters has been published in BBC Wildlife Magazine, GEO (Germany) and Focus (Italy).

25,000 entries to the Windland Smith Rice International Awards competition for the best in Nature Photography for 2009.  It will be on display at the Smithsonian Museum from November 12th through May 2, 2010.
